22nd November 2011.

Semester 1, Week 7.

Hello fellow earthlings :) Cannot believe how fast this semester is going!
Only two more weeks of the show then its CHRISTMAS!! - Which I'm really excited about by the way.
Nothing like spending time with the family getting fat and receiving money - all of which will be spent in Topshop of course.

ANYWAY, here's what you missed this week!

BIRTHDAY SHOUTOUTS

From opposite ends of the FAME spectrum come STUNNING actress Scarlett Johannson and former A1 star Ben Adams, BOTH are celebrating their birthdays today. Scarlett turns 27 and Ben 30!

Ben Adams back in the 90's - loving the greasy hair ;)

AROUND THE GLOBE

Today we were joined by Scandinavian chic, MIE OESTERGAARD from DENMARK. Mie is a second year sports journalism student who has a MASSIVE passion for ketchup and mayonnaise mixed together - ew...and HATES roast lamb.

N: Mie, how long have you lived in Denmark and where abouts?
M: I've lived there for all my life, 23 years apart from when I came here to study and I'm from South Denmark.
N: What is Denmark most known for?
M: Legoland, Vikings and Carlsberg.
N: What are the most famous sights?
M: I think Legoland, its really fun there.
N: Ah awesome, have you been to the one in Windsor? It probably isn't as good as the one in Denmark but hey...
M: No I haven't been and yeah Denmark's one probably is better!
N: Ha, okay i'll take you cause its near my house at home. So do you have any food specialities?
M: Umm, I'd say the Danish bread, its baked fresh and we also have a special kind of chocolate. You've tried some...
N: Yes, I have indeed and it is delicious! Mie is my housemate by the way guys, so she feeds me lots of stuff, hehe. So whose the most famous person?
M: Hans Christian Andersen, he wrote fairytales like The Little Mermaid and Thumbelina.
N: Ah wow! I never knew that and of course Alphabeat the band are Danish too! Any other interesting facts we should know?
M: We have twice as many bikes than we have cars!
N: Oh wow, thats amazing. They've made some you can rent in London too, you wouldn't be able to move though haha!

DID YOU KNOW?
The tax rate on junk food in Denmark is significantly higher - maybe this is why they are all so fit and healthy!

BIG WELL DONE to Maanik Chadda for winning a pair of Gobble tickets for tomorrow! He guessed the correct answer, it was...The Bare Necessities - Jungle Book!

TUNE IN NEXT WEEK for your chance to win some more Gobble tickets and a new guest on the Globe - ABBIE CHESHER frommmmmm ESSSSIXXXXX ;)
